My Long Journey Home

Photo of me with my [new] D7000!

I apologize for not posting anything the past two weeks. I've been super busy AND I was in Montreal for a week. I had a great time! Now I have to battle this cold that keeps trying to hold me down AND get back to my normal routine.

That little road trip to Kenora happened back in May with my buddies, Julia and Kaeleigh. The weather channel predicted rain, and for the most part it was a pretty dreary day. BUT we had a good time.

When I was going through my rolls, I found myself listening to some old bluegrass, folk, and country music. That's what inspired the title of this post (Bill Monroe - My Long Journey Home). If I could suggest a soundtrack for this post, I would recommend some Bill Monroe, Old Crow Medicine Show, or John Hartford. If you prefer something a little more folk-y, Crooked Still or The Good Lovelies would be an excellent choice :)

I took the following photos with my Pentax K1000. The model is Kaeleigh.

I have many more from this trip (three rolls and many more digital shots), lots from Montreal (two rolls and about 400 digitals to go through), and more photoshoots coming up!

  1. BEAUTIFUL photography!

  2. what gorgeous photography! you certainly have a talent.

  3. Love these railroad track pics. Something about them just makes everything seem spooky.
